From 30 December 2026, large and medium operators placing cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, soy or wood on the EU market — including products derived from them — must file a due diligence statement with geolocation data for every consignment. Small and micro operators follow on 30 June 2027.
If you buy chocolate, coffee, palm oil or soy-derived ingredients, this reaches you through your suppliers whether or not you import directly. It is roughly three months away.
